Zhukovka factory
Zhukovka factory is one of the oldest bicycle factories in Russia. A full cycle of steel bicycle production has been organized at the factory since 1961. In 2008, after the purchase by Velomotors, the plant was completely rebuilt, production was expanded, and modern equipment was purchased.
To date, the STELS Zhukovka factory is the only bicycle plant in Russia that has the highest degree of localization and automation of production. The plant has its own pipe-rolling production, welding shops with robotic machines for welding frames and forks, paint shops for painting with powder paints and liquid enamels.
Most of the production process and quality control of products is automated and produced on robotic machines from Japan, Holland, Germany.
The Kubinka Bicycle Plant is the first STELS bicycle factory built by the company in 2003. From the first days of the launch of the plant, the full cycle of assembly of STELS bicycles was debugged on it. Today, the Kubinka Bicycle Plant is the largest assembly site in Russia, capable of producing more than 2,000 bicycles per day.
In addition to assembling ready-made bikes, the plant has debugged the process of spoke wheels and quality control of a bicycle rim, which is carried out on Dutch robotic equipment.
Also, an important task of plant employees is a three-stage quality control of all products.
